Saif Huq, Ph.D.
Meet Saif Huq
Dr. Saif Huq is affiliated with the Computer Engineering program in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Computer Science at York College of Pennsylvania, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in rehabilitation robotics from the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK, and holds Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council UK. He completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Physics and Electronics at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dr. Huq has held academic positions at institutions across the globe, including London Metropolitan University, the Atlantic Technological University in Ireland, and University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. His postdoctoral research includes work at Carleton University, Canada, focusing on magnetic signature cancellation for UAVs and robotic automation of thermoplastic composite welding, and at the University of Sheffield, where he contributed to bipedal walking modeling control for the humanoid robot iCub.
With expertise in robotics, mechatronics, and computer vision, Dr. Huq’s research interests span dynamics modeling and control, rehabilitation and collaborative robotics, multi-modal sensor fusion, stereo vision/matching, autonomous systems, and intelligent control.
