York’s Spartan Application is free and test optional. For specific enrollment guidelines, please visit our first-year Admissions Guidelines page.

To apply, you’ll be asked to create an account for your personal application portal. First-year students have the option of applying to York as either a Regular Decision or Early Decision Applicant. Regular Decision Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Early Decision application deadline for the Fall semester is November 1, and the Early Decision deposit deadline is December 1.

To apply for admission, please submit the following:

  • An application for admission.
  • An official transcript from all colleges or universities previously attended.
    • If you've completed less than 15 credits, please submit your official high school transcript or GED certificate and official test scores (SAT or ACT), if available.
    • If you've served or are serving in the military, please submit your official Joint Services Transcript (JST).
  • File your FAFSA at studentaid.gov.

The first step toward earning your master’s degree or professional certificate at York College is to complete our free online application.

Once you’ve applied, the next step is to connect with our Director of Graduate Admissions, Sueann Robbins, to confirm what additional supporting materials you’ll need to submit with your application. If you are interested in applying to the Master’s of Data Analytics program, MSN program, or the RN to BSN program, you should email onlineadmissions@ycp.edu

Supporting materials can be submitted online through your application portal (transcripts cannot be submitted through your application portal).

The following items are typically required to issue an admission decision, however, each program is unique and may require additional documentation.

  • Official Transcripts from all schools attended (not high school) If you are a current or former York College student, we have access to your transcripts. Please do not order them. 
    • Transcripts can be sent electronically through Parchment or Naviance. Should you need to have your institution send us your transcripts directly (not through Parchment or Naviance), the email address for submission of official electronic transcripts is: graduateadmissions@ycp.edu. 
    • Transcripts can be mailed to:

  • A copy of your current resume.
  • An academic goal statement (3 to 4 clear and concise paragraphs detailing why you would like to pursue the graduate program and how it will assist your career goals).
  • Two references. Please only provide your references first name, last name, and email address. Our admissions office will send them an electronic reference form to complete.
  • If you are applying to a Master’s in Science Nursing Program you need to possess an active unencumbered RN license to practice in Pennsylvania, or one of the states in which direct clinical care experience is offered.
  • If you are applying to an Education program that also awards an advanced PDE certificate or endorsement you need to possess a valid and active Pennsylvania Educator Certification.

RN to BSN Applicants

Registered nurses who have graduated from an accredited program and meet all requirements are eligible for direct articulation into the RN to BSN program.

Students must have a valid, unencumbered RN License in the United States to qualify for admission. Nurses awaiting NCLEX results may receive conditional admittance.

To be admitted to York College of Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) degree program, you’ll need to either hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing discipline or have completed at least 65 college credits and the necessary prerequisite courses.

When you apply to York College of Pennsylvania online, you should be prepared to submit:

  • Two references (professional or academic)
  • Personal essay (writing prompts are provided)
  • Resume
  • Official college transcripts for all courses completed from post-high school institutions

The York College Dual Enrollment Program partners with area school districts to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school requirements. The program is designed to encourage a broader range of students to experience postsecondary education by allowing the student to concurrently enroll in college courses and to receive both secondary and postsecondary credit for the coursework at a reduced cost to the student.

Applying for Dual Enrollment is easy! There is no application fee, and you can apply online. Interested students must submit a new Dual Enrollment application each semester that they want to enroll as a Dual Enrollment student.

York College offers the opportunity for students to take college courses without working toward a degree. As a non-degree seeking student, you can attend classes for your own interest, to fulfill prerequisite courses necessary for another certification or program, or to gain a specific skill in a field without completing the full degree program.

Did you begin your education at York College? Are you ready to complete your degree?

Readmitted students are those who: are full-time and miss a second consecutive semester at York; have officially withdrawn through the Dean of Student Development and Campus Life Office; or have officially withdrawn through the Registrar’s Office.

There is no fee to reapply. Your application will be reviewed by the Admission Office. If you have questions about readmitting to York College, please contact Sueann Robbins, Director of Graduate and Transfer Admissions, at 717.815.2257 or srobbins@ycp.edu.
