York College of Pennsylvania recently hosted representatives from Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs, who were visiting to explore adding the College to their undergraduate scholarship lists.

“Some scholarships are for one semester of study, while others are for four years of undergraduate study,” said Christian DiGregorio, York College’s Director of International Recruitment. “I'm happy to say that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has already added us to their list for one semester of study. We hope to wrap up other approvals in the coming months.”

The Indonesian representatives were accompanied by personnel from the U.S. Agency for International Development and The Institute of International Education. They visited The Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences and Technology and met with faculty and alumnus Jessica Zayatz, Vice President of Engineering and Quality at Graham Packaging. They also chatted with Kerry Smith, Director of the Radio Observatory for the York County Astronomical Society, about the Society’s 4.5-meter radio telescope built by York College Engineering students. Their visit concluded at the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship, where they were introduced to recent York College graduates who now work for MRG Laboratories and Bee Central Technology.
