Innovate with Purpose

Hands-on learning isn’t just a goal in the Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences and Technology – it’s at the core of everything we do. From Cannabis Chemistry to Computer Science, engage in a curriculum where your ideas have the power to transform the industry. We make sure you have what you need to pursue your passions through undergraduate research, internships, co-ops, and project-based coursework.

“I've always loved taking things apart, putting them back together. Mechanical Engineering had everything I really liked: math, problem-solving, and working with my hands.”

Experiential Learning, with Purpose.

In the Kinsley School’s labs and classrooms, we learn how and why things break so we don’t break them later. And we understand that you can’t be a biologist without actually doing biology. From day one, you will be hands-on with equipment, experimentation, and formulation, all guided by expert faculty.

On the Ground: Electrical Engineering Lab

The Electrical Engineering Lab looks like a regular classroom, with worktables, a projector screen, and desktops—but don’t let that fool you. Everything in York College’s Engineering programs is designed with a real-world focus, which requires students to get hands-on with their learning, from the start of their college career.

The Cutting Edge of Education

Our state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative workspaces, coupled with the latest in industry technology, prepare you for your future professional environment.

Biology Labs

Get familiar with our state-of-the-art lab as we prepare you for your post-graduate work or a career using equipment you'll already know how to use before your first day on the job.

Civil Engineering Center

The Civil Engineering Center opened in 2018. The Center provides engineering students with state-of-the-art classroom and lab spaces to gain hands-on, practical experience.

Chemistry Labs

Our students report back that what they use in our labs is as good or better than what they see outside of the classroom, with more than $1 million invested in equipment. That’s the kind of preparation that will make you an ideal job candidate from day one.

Computer Science Labs

Use our visualization lab and the 3-D projection system for your senior design projects. Take advantage of the high-performance Linux cluster in the Software Engineering Lab and its 24 PCs.

Engineering Labs

We offer seven specialized lab settings: Automation and Robotics; Electronic Instrumentation; Embedded Systems; Signal Processing and Communication; Power Systems and Energy Conversion; Thermodynamics, Fluids and Heat Transfer; and Materials Science and Engineering.

Naylor Ecological Building

Provides teaching and research labs for biology students, a large aquaria space including an aquaponics system and a controlled growth chamber.
